Gucci Mane planning on “making history” with October 17 release of “The Spot.”

With its October 17 release fast approaching, Gucci Mane and his team are continuing to offer gradual details about the upcoming film, The Spot.

A trailer for the film, which is executive produced by the 1017 Bricksquad Records helmsman, was released quite some time ago, but just recently a release date for the movie was announced. And now, an official movie poster for The Spot has been obtained by HotNewHipHop.com.

In addition to the movie poster, a statement from the currently-incarcerated Gucci, which was signed “Gucci Spielberg,” has been released. In his statement, the rapper promised “many more” movies in the future.

“On 10/17, I’m making history, and I’m glad my fans can be a part of it. It’s my first time ever producing a movie. Please check out my movie, ‘The Spot,’ the first of many more,” Gucci Mane said in his statement.

Just last month, a LinkedIn account for Gucci was created, and listed the rapper as boasting the following titles: entertainer, actor, and CEO at 1017 Bricksquad Records.

In the summary for his LinkedIn account, Gucci revealed the October 17 release for The Spot, and asked for fans’ help in bringing the film to the world.

“This my tenth year in the industry and I am proud to be able to share my first movie ever that I executive produced and starred in on October 17th 2015,” Gucci Mane’s summary reads. “This is a great way to commemorate my ten year anniversary and I want my fans to experience this with me and help me think of the most daring and expansive way possible to bring this film to the world. I want cutting edge ideas nothing is too risky, I love the unorthodox. Burrr.”
