Born in New Orleans, LE$ (pronounced “Les” or “L.E. Dolla”) grew up between Louisiana and Texas, eventually settling in Houston, where he built his music career.
He began as a member of the Boss Hogg Outlawz collective, founded by rapper Slim Thug, before going solo and signing with Curren$y’s Jet Life label.
Style and Influence
LE$ is known for his smooth flow, authenticity, and deep roots in Southern rap culture, often referencing everyday life, luxury cars, and Southern U.S. culture.
His approach is “regular guy” — he doesn’t need to adopt a tough persona to earn respect in the rap scene.

He has released several mixtapes and albums, including “E36”, “Gran Turismo”, and more recently “Bigger in Texas” (2023), which highlights his Texan roots and features collaborations with local legends like Bun B, Slim Thug, and Paul Wall.
