Rapper Not Involved With Shop, Keef’s Business Partners Say

EXCLUSIVE: Chief Keef’s business partners say that he is not involved a marijuana dispensary in Compton, California where two people were found dead.

Alki David, the Greek billionaire who signed Chief Keef to a recording contract this year, disputes allegations that the rapper was involved in the marijuana dispensary in Compton, California where two people were found dead yesterday (September 23).

“That shop does not even belong to Keef,” David says in an exclusive statement to HipHopDX. “Keef has no association with this place at all either. “

Grant Zimmerman, A&R at FilmOn Music, which released the Chicago rapper’s Bang 3, also released a statement to HipHopDX.

“I got a text from my boy letting me know about the situation,” Zimmerman says. “Didn’t really believe Sosa had any weed shop in Compton, but my prayers are for the victims an their families.”

Two men were found dead at a building suspected to be a marijuana dispensary in Compton, California last night (September 23), KTLA reports.

Police were alerted of one of the deaths and when they arrived on the scene, they found the second victim. Both men had apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene.

Early reports are saying that Chief Keef’s GLO Gang owns the dispensary.

“We’re just getting started in our investigation, so we’re going to have to verify who owns the verify who owns the business and certainly what their nexus is to the men we found inside,” a representative for the LAPD says.

Chief Keef’s Bang 3 Pt. 2 hologram release party was shut down by the LAPD Friday (September 18).
